AREA History Tours is a major supporter of this new development in History presentation. Over the past decade 4HR has researched and produced award winning graphics on the Hawkesbury/Broken Bay area. The founder of 4HR has received personal awards and mentions in Parliament for the work. AREA History Tours, about a year ago, commenced unique, budget priced history ferry tours. During the tours the following are displayed on a large A/V screen:
The 'General Gordon', the 'Parramatta' wreck - the first warship built for the RAN,
the 'Swan' wreck - the first warship built in Australia, HMAS Hawkesbury I, Juno Point WWII defences, West Head Fort with its inclined railway, rendezvous point of the eight Japanese Submarines involved in the Sydney attack, The Hawkesbury Rail Bridges - why did the first one fail? etc. Visit: areahistorytours.com.au
